Title: 5G Security and Resiliency for the Industry
Speaker: CISA CSO Valerie Cofield

Abstract: 5G is transforming the industry with its capability to support industrial internet of things (IIoT) with built in encryption, authentication, and privacy capabilities. If properly configured and operated, 5G can support mission critical security and reliability while connecting large number of industrial devices with low latency and high data rates for operational technology. 5G private networks utilizing unlicensed and shared spectrum, without limited licensed spectrum, can successfully power the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0. However secure use of 5G is still a critical effort at the national and global level.
Our keynote speaker will describe the initiative the US Government has taken towards secure and resilient utilization of 5Gā€™s powerful capabilities that can potentially usher in a new era of innovative and efficient industrial applications.
